Building the Wild Way
No corporate rulebook. No plan. Just a crew of people living The Wild Way.

If you're reading this, chances are you’ve crossed paths with us in some way. Maybe you're one of us Wildies, a family member or friend, a client, or you’ve heard about us and are curious enough to learn more. Either way, I’m here to give you a peek behind the curtain of WildBran. I promise it’ll be interesting - or at least as interesting as reading a web article can be. (Set your expectations accordingly.)
Our Boldest Move Yet
WildBran was born in 2017, quietly developing and manufacturing products for other companies. But in 2025 we’re making our boldest move yet: launching our own brand. Actual products with our stamp on them. Pretty exciting, right? And so a natural next step for us, other than avoiding absolute launch failure, is to put ourselves out there and show the world who we are - not just as a company, but as a team that goes beyond the superficial. Start thinking of us as that one co-worker who overshares way too much, way too soon. The processes, the unfiltered thoughts, the unfinished versions - and the mess-ups. Especially the mess-ups - they’re great clickbait, after all.
So here we are, kicking off a series of snippets to peel back the layers. Think of it as a "getting to know WildBran" series - we haven’t nailed down the name just yet. And so what better way to start than by diving into our company’s philosophy, The Wild Way.
The Wild Way
The Wild Way isn’t just some catchy phrase derived from our name. It reflects how we get stuff done - with authenticity, a healthy dose of nerve, curiosity and commitment. From working together, to handling challenges, to pushing products forward. No gimmicks. Just real, hands-on effort. And a lot of (mostly controlled) chaos. We may have started with just one person making snacks by hand but now it really does take a village.
The Wild Way is a People Thing
Startup life is often romanticized, but let’s be real: it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. There’s something very encouraging about looking back at the work, the setbacks, the failures, and seeing how far we’ve come. It inspires you and others to keep going. Or to even join in. But the day to day reality is usually less glamorous. Because the truth is, we’ve probably all been thrown into something we didn’t feel remotely ready for coming into WildBran. We’ve all had to tackle a sea of “urgent” topics at once, trying to prioritize beyond the noise, and we’ve all had to make tough calls. That’s a regular Tuesday.
Working at WildBran is just as intense as it is rewarding. It requires a lot from us. But what makes it worthwhile, in my view, is that for each shitty day (sorry for the swearing, mom), each world-class problem, each self-doubt spiral, we somehow always manage to revert back to baseline - clawing our way through it with vulnerability, humor, and grit. Not building perfectly, but building forward.

“Working at WildBran is just as intense as it is rewarding. That’s a regular Tuesday.”
Take Daniela: The One Who Learned to Skate at 40
Our Chief Quality and Innovation Officer, Daniela, is a free spirit and annoyingly happy - like all the time. I think there’s something to be learned from her way of dealing with the world. A glass-half-full person who defends her team fiercely. Oh, and she recently took up skating to hang out with her kids. You might spot her skating in our parking lot at lunch or after work hours. She's not your regular mom. She's a cool mom.

Take Alagie: Our Massa Boy with a Million Dollar Smile
Alagie moved from Gambia to Portugal about four years ago, traveling over 4000 km. He’s a sports addict who loves running, football, and volleyball, and misses his mom’s domoda dish dearly. He has a huge smile constantly plastered on his face - Regardless of how busy or complicated things may get. He once told me he chose to settle in Portugal on a whim. We’re glad he did.

Take Ângela: Badass COO with the High Heels
Our Chief of Operations, Ângela, joined us over a year ago and hit the ground running. A no-time-to-lose kind of gal. She’s assertive, pragmatic, and kind. Mamma Angie always has your back, but never shies away from calling you out when needed. She has to wear factory shoes throughout most of the day, most days - And yet she still rocks the coolest high heels during the 20 minutes coming to and from work.

Take Jaime (Jimmy) and Senhor Luís: Maintenance Wonder Duo
Jaime (aka Jimmy, aka Jack Black’s long-lost brother) and Senhor Luís fix things around here - equipment, morale, sometimes even the coffee machine. They’re both DIY experts and often step up for random, last-minute projects our CEO puts them up to. Sometimes they even come up with those themselves (see wooden giraffe board by Jimmy). Once they even built us a DIY stage for a party in just one afternoon. It’s still here, and we still use it.

These are just some of the Wildies who make it happen, day in and day out. There’s another 73 of us, and counting. They’re all living The Wild Way, for better or worse.
Might introduce you to them later on.
In the end If there’s one lesson that stands out to me, it’s this: momentum compounds. Small, obsessive, daily actions stack up in ways you can’t predict. And they just might pay off.
So here’s to being wild by choice.
Here’s to starting before we’re ready.
Here’s to chasing evolution.
And welcome to The Wild Way.
